Kamulegeya Sulaiman Alpha AKA KS Alpha , is an Acoustic Afro, Reggae, Ragga, Dancehall artiste born and raised in Kampala, Uganda. He has been doing music since high school but it is in 2006, after university that he decided to take his music to a professional level by releasing “Am in Love”.

Kamulegeya Sulaiman Alpha, aka Ks Alpha is a reggae, raga, dancehall artist as well as Creative Director at Alpha Effects, a production house for film, print and web.

When did you start your musical career?

Professionally 2006

Tell us more about Alpha Effects and what it does.

Film, print, web, managing KS Alpha, managing the Yes I am Afrikan clothing line and at the moment working on a charity project (Stay In School With Music And Basketball)

What is your favourite song that you have performed?

That is hard because I love them all the same way. But it’s the fun that makes me like one song more than another. It depends on where I am since different audiences prefer different songs.

What should we expect from you this year 2013?

Finishing my international project and doing more of acoustic reggae.

Wyclif, Bounty Killer, Lauren Hill, Nas, Common, Tarrus Riley

What’s your take on the long raving battles between the Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and KCCA Executive Director Jennifer Musisi?

I’m with Lukwago on this one. He was voted by people and not appointed so he will have our interests. But I’m sure it will be a tricky one with the Kampala minister and ED around who in my view are willing to make him look like he is not doing anything
